Winestitute at Green Wine Green by ElectHer – Event Sponsored by The European Union

This epoch-making event held at the Civic Centre Ozumba Mbadiwe, Victoria Island Lagos on the 13th December 2022 by ElectHer has positive prospects for the near future. With 2023 already in sight, men who wield power are ready to tussle fair and square for the onus of steering our Nation towards loftier heights, it strikes no offence to drum support for women venturing into political space.

Founded by Ibijoke Faborode and Abosede George-Ogan, ElectHer is a non-partisan end-to-end women’s political advancement group. The organisation is focused on bridging inequality gaps in Nigerian politics by addressing the under-representation of Nigerian women in elective offices. With an end-goal of enabling capable women to competitively Decide, Run and Win elections, the group is determined to support 1000 women run for office in 2023, and wish to see, at least, half of this number win across state and federal positions – The Guardian

Attendance made the event special as the crème de la crème of Nigerian society and delegates from the European Union were present. Welcoming tunes filtered the air as the orchestra treated guests to Old time classics, a symphony of contemporary Nigerian tunes and with a superb rendition of the National Anthem, the event commenced. Traditional displays delivered with powerful rhythms of the drum and Ballet dancers too were excellent side attractions. The cordial atmosphere was engineered by the host’s welcome speech and maintained by the event compere. Guests were also treated to the best in intercontinental cuisine and of course we were on hand, serving a select range (Mouverdre Rose, Sauvignon Blanc and Field Atlas Syrah) from our Premium brand, Noble Hill Wines. Aromas of strawberry, watermelon, black currant underlined by notes of Umami and gentle clinks of glasses filled the air as all toasts and salutations were appreciated.

Special appearances were made by Nigerian RnB sensation, Styl-Plus. They triggered moments of reminisce as their hits from the early 2000’s was echoed in a sing along with the audience. Then came Teni Makanaki, the sensational Afro-beats singer whose energetic performances added to the thrill of the evening.

The Noble Hill wines of Winestitute Nigeria Limited offered a taste of class at this event and this would linger on the palates of the audience for a long time with the realisation that the Quest to #ElectHer come 2023, has just begun.
